WHAT WE DO
platforms
Through the Ottawa Arts Review (OAR) and monthly blUe mOndays open mic events we create platforms for students to share their creative side.
academic
The UESA acts as a channel through which students can communicate with the English Department and the Faculty of Arts. We are also able to connect students with academic services on campus.
philanthropic
During the Fall and Winter semesters the UESA organizes monthly philanthropic initiatives. We are also yearly participants in uOttawa's Shinerama and Relay for Life events.
MORE SPECIFICALLY...
The UESA is a federated student body within the University of Ottawa. We are led by an executive comprised of students (like you!). The UESA Exec works together to help students adjust to university life, specifically life as an English literature student. Through events like 101 Week we try to make campus feel like a fun and inviting space. Later events in the semester such as wine and cheeses, trivia nights, and Yule Ball help to continue the sense of community that 101 Week inspires.

We also take your needs as a student very seriously. Through the UESA students have a voice to express their needs directly to the English Department and Faculty of Arts. If you have questions or concerns about your program courses, and so forth, you can email or speak to a member of the exec directly and they'll help point you in the right direction. You can find the office address along with the office hours of each exec member and their emails on the Contact page.
